This is a memory survey of a celebration dinner. Conceived after the fact- and therefore without measurements, we worked as detectives (and with only one, bad photo) to establish what was there on the night, testing and retesting until we achieved the correct size of each object. The drawing is also an investigation of setting. In this case, setting means both place and arrangement, looking firstly at how place and culture influence the inhabitation of a space, but also at the choreography of objects within a space.
As a memory drawing, this survey pulls more time into it than was present on the day. There are elements included which occured before or after that moment, creating a larger story within the narrative. Only the two recipients of the drawing know what to look for.
